Hard Drives / SSDs

Hard drives are where all your information is stored on your PC, there are typically two different kinds of storage and a variety of interfaces for connection. Mechanical hard drives are the bigger 3.5" storage drives that are great value for money. Solid state storage drives offer amazingly fast performance in a comparatively small size, generally these will be many times faster than mechanical hard drives but will often have a lower capacity.
When selecting an SSD there are two main types of connection interface. There are M.2 drives that plug directly into your motherboard's M.2 Sockets and also SATA drives that connect via SATA cable to your motherboards SATA ports.
